What should an AI draft, and what should a person approve?

Built it myself
Internal tooling

Internal tools that draft the recurring documents of product work, with publication kept as a separate human step.

What was going on?

Product management repeats itself: requirements documents, engineering issues, release communications, changelogs, Help Center articles, progress reports.

Why was it hard?

AI can draft all of these. The question was where a person has to stay in the loop.

What was mine?

Built
Internal tools that generate structured PRDs from project context, create engineering issues, produce product documentation, and draft release communications, changelogs, Help Center articles and recurring progress reports.
Approval step
One workflow separates preparing a communication from approving its publication. The system does not publish everything it produces.

What shipped?

The tools were built, and used or shared internally.

What does this show?

  • Human-in-the-loop automation
  • Applied AI
  • Product operations
  • Technical documentation
  • Approval and publishing controls
